Terms and conditions
Last updated: October 28, 2026
This is a translation for your convenience. The legally binding version is the German AGB.
These terms apply to your use of the Frame app (iOS and Android) and the related subscription. Please read them before you start a subscription.
1. Provider and scope
Frame is provided by:
Hamid Reza Mashouf – App-Entwicklung
Tulpenstr. 81
41466 Neuss
Germany
Email: support@framegym.app
These terms apply to all contracts between the provider and consumers about the use of Frame. Conflicting terms of yours do not apply. Our privacy policy applies as well, and for purchases through the app stores their terms apply (see section 11).
2. What Frame offers
Frame is a gym training tracker. You create training plans with exercise pools and volume goals, pick from your pool during a workout, log sets, reps and weights, and see statistics, records and progress. The scope of features follows the description in the App Store or Google Play and the state of the app when you enter the contract.
Frame gives you guidance for your training. Plans and analyses are suggestions and aids, not instructions.
3. Account and minimum age
You need an account. You sign in only with Apple or Google. You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 16, you may use Frame only with the consent of your parents or guardians.
You are responsible for keeping access to your Apple or Google account secure and for making sure nobody else uses Frame in your name. Your account cannot be transferred. A subscription covers one account.
4. Subscription
4.1 Access only with a subscription
Frame can only be used with an active subscription. There is no permanent free tier.
4.2 Free trial
You can try Frame for free to start. The app shows you the length of the trial and the price that applies afterwards before you sign up. The trial applies once per Apple account or Google account. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it automatically turns into a paid subscription on the plan you chose.
4.3 Term, price and renewal
You can choose a monthly or a yearly subscription. The price is shown to you in the app and in the store's purchase dialog before you buy, including any statutory VAT that applies. It can differ by country and currency. The subscription renews automatically for the chosen term unless you cancel.
4.4 Payment
Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) handles payment with the payment method stored there. We do not receive your payment details. The charge happens at the end of the trial and at the start of each term.
4.5 Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time, effective at the end of the current term, at the latest 24 hours before it ends. Cancel in the settings of your Apple or Google account:
- iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Frame
- Android: Google Play → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Frame
You can keep using Frame until the end of the paid term. In principle we do not refund amounts you have already paid on a pro rata basis when you cancel. Your statutory rights, in particular the right of withdrawal (section 5) and the right to terminate for good cause, remain unaffected.
Important: If you delete your account in Frame, your subscription in the App Store or Google Play is not ended automatically. Please cancel the subscription there first.
4.6 Price changes
We can change prices for future terms. Apple or Google and we will inform you about a price increase in good time before the next renewal. You can then cancel before the term ends. Terms already running are not affected.
4.7 End of the subscription
When your subscription ends, you can no longer use Frame until you subscribe again. Your data stays stored as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time (section 9).
5. Right of withdrawal
As a consumer you have a statutory right of withdrawal. The details are in the withdrawal policy.
6. Using the app
You may use Frame only for your personal, non-commercial purposes. In particular, you may not:
- access the app or its servers by automated means (bots, scripts, scrapers),
- reverse engineer or decompile the app or bypass its protection, unless the law expressly allows it,
- disrupt or overload the functions of the app,
- pass on or sell an account,
- enter content that is unlawful or infringes the rights of others.
The app, its design, the exercise catalog with instructions and all other content of Frame are protected by copyright. For the duration of your subscription you get a simple, non-transferable right to use Frame for yourself.
7. Your content
The data you enter in Frame (plans, custom exercises, workouts, body measurements, notes) remains yours. You grant us the right to store it and show it to you as far as necessary to operate Frame. We do not use your content for advertising and do not pass it on to third parties, see the privacy policy.
8. Health notice and liability
8.1 Health
Strength training carries a risk of injury. Frame does not replace medical, sports medicine or coaching advice. Talk to a doctor before you start training, especially if you have existing conditions or complaints, or have not trained for a long time. The analyses and suggestions in Frame are general in nature. You decide, at your own responsibility, which exercises, weights and reps you do, and you stop a workout if you feel pain or discomfort.
8.2 Liability
We are fully liable for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the German Product Liability Act and where we have given a guarantee.
In case of slightly negligent breach of an essential contractual obligation, meaning one whose fulfilment makes proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on which you can regularly rely, our liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this kind of contract. Otherwise liability for slight negligence is excluded.
Your statutory rights in case of defects in digital products (sections 327 et seq. of the German Civil Code) remain unaffected.
9. Deleting your account
You can delete your account in the app at any time (Settings → Delete account). We delete the account and all data connected to it, see Delete account. Note section 4.5: you must cancel the subscription in the store yourself.
10. Availability, changes and suspension
We aim to keep Frame available as continuously as possible. Maintenance, outages at service providers (for example Apple, Google or hosting) and force majeure can restrict use temporarily. We keep updating Frame to fix bugs, maintain security and improve features. We will announce material changes that could disadvantage you in good time. You can then cancel your subscription.
If you seriously or repeatedly breach these terms (in particular section 6), we can suspend your access temporarily or permanently. We give you the chance to respond first where that is reasonable. Your right and our right to terminate for good cause remain unaffected.
11. Notes on the App Store and Google Play
Apple and Google handle purchase and management of subscriptions on their own responsibility. Their terms apply in addition, for iOS the Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Apple Standard EULA). Where they differ from these terms, these terms apply between you and us.
Apple and Google are not responsible for maintenance, support or warranty of Frame. That is our job; contact us at the email address above. For purchases in the App Store, Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these terms and may enforce them against you. You request refunds for store purchases from Apple or Google.
12. Changes to these terms
We can change these terms where there is an objective reason, such as new features or changes in law or case law. Changes that materially affect the contract apply only with your consent. We show them to you in the app for this. If you do not agree, the previous version applies to your running subscription until the end of its term.
13. Final provisions
The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies. The UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply. As a consumer you also stay protected by the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you habitually reside.
If you are a consumer, the place of jurisdiction is your place of residence; otherwise it is Neuss.
We are neither willing nor obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
If a provision of these terms is invalid, the other provisions remain valid. The statutory rule replaces the invalid provision.
